Becoming a Certified B Corporation is a rigorous process, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

What is a Certified B Corporation?

For those of you who are unfamiliar with B Corp certification, it’s not a simple checklist of good practices. Rather, it is a rigorous evaluation of a company’s social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency across all areas of business. Think of the process as a journey through a dense jungle, where companies must navigate obstacles to prove their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. It’s a process of self-discovery and growth as a company, and we emerge with a greater sense of the impact we have on the world and how we can improve. We are proud to have successfully navigated this jungle to join a community of over 3,500 companies worldwide that are working towards a more equitable and sustainable future through B Corp certification.

The evaluation process is thorough and detailed, requiring companies to articulate their impact across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. It takes dedication, hard work from every department, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We are so proud of all the work we have done and continue to do as a certified B corporation. Not only did we earn it, but we’ve been working hard to improve our score since we first earned our certification in 2019. Our latest assessment will be revealed in spring 2023, and shows we’ve made some pretty wonderful progress in key areas.

The Future looks Bright

We have made a continued effort to support our employees and their families through increasing pay, prioritizing health and wellness initiatives, and offering better dental, health, and vision benefits. The most significant progress has been in worker health and safety, with us working 365 days without a recordable or loss time accident and 14,500 hours without an injury in 2022.

For our planet, we have made significant strides in measuring and tracking our water and energy usage, along with managing our waste. Our team has been hard at work to reduce our reliance and impact on our natural resources, and we can’t wait to continue to improve upon this moving forward.

We are thrilled with our progress so far, but we know there is always more room for improvement. We remain committed to our social and environmental impact and making a difference in the world. We believe that B Corp is more than just a badge of honor – it’s a way to hold ourselves accountable to our mission and values, and to demonstrate our commitment to nurturing good in the world."
